Sleep Postures: Fetal Position

Posted on February 15, 2021January 14, 2025 by pilatesnative

Are you a fetal position sleeper?

4/10 people sleep in fetal position with women twice as likely to sleep in this position than men.

Similar to side sleeping, fetal position requires sleepers to roll onto one side. While side posture usually has legs long or with a slight bend, fetal position uses a “curling” or “tucking” of the knees up close to the body.

Did you know the tight tuck of this position can cause tight muscles in the morning?
