Standing Posture: Kyphosis Lordosis

Posted on February 24, 2021January 14, 2025 by pilatesnative

What do hunchback and shelf butt have in common?

They’re actually extreme variations found in today’s standing posture focus: The Kyphosos Lordosis Posture.

We can actually break this one down into 2 different pieces: Kyphosis (rounded upper back) and Lordosis (extremely curved lower back). You may have one or both of these components, which you’ll recognize by the rounded upper back or a protruding abdomen and glutes.
